May 1, 2018 | BPS Activities
From Sabang to Merauke, from Miangas to Rote Island. Once the vast territory of Indonesia certainly has a variety of conditions of the region, population, availability of infrastructure, and various potentials in it. In order to know the variety of such information, special data is needed up to the village level so that the data obtained is comprehensive and comprehensive. Data Collection of Village Potential (PODES) implemented by BPS becomes the answer to the fulfillment of the data source.
PODES activities are conducted three times in ten years, ie every 2 years before the census: Population Census (SP), Agricultural Census (ST), and Economic Census (SE). In 2018 again will be conducted PODES data collection.
For the wider community, Podes presents data on the potential of villages, as materials for the preparation of small area statistics, the preparation of various analyzes and policies related to territorialities, and as a calculation of development indicators / progress of villages such as the calculation of Geographical Difficulties Index (IKG). In addition, PODES 2018 can also be used to evaluate village development and village funds that have been disbursed. With the PODES 2018, the latest data on the village or kelurahan can be obtained completely to all corners of the country.
For BPS, PODES 2018 provides basic information on some of the variables in SP2020 and is expected to support SP2020 planning activities in terms of working area, budget, and allocation of officers to be deployed to the field later. In addition, Podes are used as a means of updating MFD, determining the updating of classification / typology of the village, and others.
PODES 2018 will be held in May 2018 simultaneously with data collection involving BPS staff and partners. Although these activities are named village potentials, they are not only recorded in all the village / kelurahan areas but also recorded in all sub-districts, and all districts / cities. Respondents in this activity are Head of Village / Village Head, Sub-District Head, and Regional Secretary. It is expected that respondents can provide answers correctly given the importance of data to be generated for development.
As the only regional database up to the village level, PODES 2018 is able to spearhead the development of reliable village / kelurahan throughout Indonesia. Let's succeed PODES 2018, with quality data we build Indonesia!
