Abstract

In July 2019, Probolinggo Municipality experienced a deflation of 0.05 percent. Probolinggo Municipality deflation in July 2019 occurred because of 7 (seven) expenditure groups, 4 (four) groups experienced inflation, 2 (two) groups experienced deflation and 1 (one) group experienced no change. This can be seen from the price increase shown by the increase in the price index in the foodstuffs group by 0.45 percent, the processed food group, drinks, cigarettes & tobacco by 0.40 percent, the clothing group by 0.80 percent, the health group by 0 , 75 percent. The expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the price index were the education, recreation and sports group by 0.02 percent and the transportation, communication and financial services group at 1.71 percent while the housing, water, electricity, gas & fuel group did not experience a change in the price index.
