Sosialization of Population Census 2020 in Semipro 2019

In 2020 the Population Census will return for the 7th time since Indonesia's independence. The census conducted every ten years is very important in providing population
data in Indonesia.

Different from the previous 6 censuses, the 2020 Population Census (SP2020) will be held twice, namely the Online Census in February-March 2020 and the Door to Door Census in July 2020. SP2020 also uses the Combination Method, where the population base data is sourced from population administration from Department
of Population and Civil Registration.

To start introducing SP2020 activities to the people of Probolinggo Municipality, BPS-Statistics of Probolinggo Municipality participated in the 2019 Semipro exhibition. In this exhibition, BPS-Statistics of Probolinggo introduced the history of the Population Census, the methods used, and a general overview of SP2020
activities next year.

The SP2020 tagline is Noting Indonesia. The point is that a population census is carried out for the entire population in Indonesia in general and residents of Probolinggo Municipality in particular.

BPS-Statistics of Probolinggo provides a special booth where visitors of the exhibition can take photos with typical SP2020 movements or attributes that have been provided. The goal is for the whole community to know SP2020 starting from children, young people to the adult community. Ranging from officials to the general public. At the opening of the exhibition, the Mayor of Probolinggo was pleased to take a photo at the SP2020 booth with the SP2020 attribute.
