Consumer Price Index of Probolinggo Municipality August 2018

In August 2018, Probolinggo Municipality experienced a deflation of 0.35 percent. Deflation of Probolinggo Municipality in August 2018 occurred because of 7 (seven) expenditure groups, 4 (four) groups experienced deflation, and 3 (three) groups experienced inflation. This can be seen from the decline in prices as indicated by the decrease in the price index in the foodstuffs group by 1.10 percent, the clothing group by 0.12 percent, the education, recreation and sports group by 0.05 percent, and the transportation, communication and services group finance by 0.54 percent, while expenditure groups experiencing price increases (inflation) were processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.09 percent, housing, electricity, gas & materials by 0.13 and health groups by 0 , 08 percent.
