Socialization of Romantik 2.0 and Assistance in Statistical Metadata Preparation
Referring to the role as a statistical supervisor in Presidential Decree No. 39 of 2019 concerning One Indonesian Data, the Statistics Indonesia (BPS) of Probolinggo Municipality together with the Communication and Information Agency (Diskominfo) of Probolinggo City carried out Romantic Socialization 2.0 and Metadata Preparation Assistance. The event, which was held at the Diskominfo Hall, was attended by 25 regional officials (PD) in three sessions starting on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. Head of the Communication and Information Service, Aman Suryaman, AP, MM., in his speech conveyed the importance of data. At this time, it is not enough just with narrative, but it must be with data. If we say that development in Probolinggo Municipality has increased, then how much is the data, before and after.
On this occasion, BPS Probolinggo Municipality socialized the use of the Romantik application version 2.0. The application aims to facilitate regional official as a data producer in submitting the design of sectoral statistical activities. As mandated by Government Regulation Number 51 of 1999, data producers are obliged to notify the plan for implementing statistical activities to BPS, follow the recommendations given by BPS and submit the results of the implementation of statistical activities carried out to BPS, one of which is in the form of statistical activity metadata.
Statistical activity metadata is a set of information attributes that provide an overview/documentation of the implementation of statistical activities. In assisting in the preparation of statistical metadata, BPS and Diskominfo Teams assist Data Producers in identifying statistical activities in each Regional Official and compiling metadata from these statistical activities. Metadata preparation and reporting is one of the Satu Data Indonesia (SDI) principles that must be met, namely the data produced by Data Producers must has Metadata. Head of Public Information Management at Diskominfo, Mirza Nurul Halila, said that a gathering forum like this is very necessary to be able to synergize to build One Data for Probolinggo Municipality.
